me and my old man came up with a similar idea a few years back as we were looking at using flexible -LCD screens, but its completly illegal to do it over here due to the fact that it would be fairly easy to put what ever reg plate details you wanted (were methods of using rom memory to store the data but would mean programming it up when a customer buys the kit = cost even more £££).

Still though, an LCD mould was going to be around 40k+ (got the quote around here somewhere), so we gave it a miss....nice idea though, glad someones doing it, as you could have startup screens when you start/shutdown the car etc and flashy graphhics, animation/video etc
