for take off Greg, it depends on your weight and takeoff distance, but its a general rule that a 3/4 full plane needs 10-15 degrees of flaps. when landing, depending again on weight/fuel remaining, depends on flaps, but somewhere around 30-40 degrees which is normally full. 10-15 flaps on take off reduces your take off roll distance. Full power is not needed either, perhaps 85%, then reduce once above 1000ft. retract gear as soon as a steady climb is acheived. you should also apply a light amount of trim on elevator for take off.

to use autopilot, you must first setup up your altitude height that you want the autopilot to climb to, and then set the climb speed, around 1500-1800fpm. then follow ATC instructions regarding altitude heights to your cruising altitude.

Seth, I can do the cesnnas ok.

I love the sound and everything of a 737 but yes you are right.

You can't do the lessons on a 737 though

I just try and set it all up myself, take off and go 4 it lol

dont forget to check the passenger manifest, if HEFFERS Are not evenly distributed throughout the cabin you will need to make adjustments to compensate.

get yourself over to AVSIM, download Project Opensky's 767 model, and then the Rolls Royce RB211-524 soundset, crank the speakers and listen to the noise

FS2004 has its own tutorial section. im now at the stage of flying the PMDG 747-400 series, 100% fully working and 100% realistic cockpit flight procedures.

havent had a proper lesson in a while, but when funds permit i will be going for my PPL. then the CPL if i win the lotto.

spec needed for FSX, guessing it will be minimum of 1.5ghz processor, 512mb RAM, DX9 hardware compatible GFX card, 20GB free HD space, then recomended will be 2ghz processor, 1GB RAM, DX10 Compatible GFX card (not even on the market yet)

Can't wait to play this tonight, another random flight in a 737 not really knowing what im doing and using the rudder trim to guess how much so i can whizz down the runway straight and NOT left or right LOL

Have a look at the Checklists before take off, plus do the basic lessons so you know all about pitch, trim etc..
