6 months ago. it scared the crap out of me. iv just started to get over it cuz she on the mend. iv written this for her. opinions?
MY SISTER
i remember the day that my world came crashing down,
i was in my mates car just driving around town,
my phone started ringin, it was my mum told me someone was goin to hospital,
and that she'd speak to me later on
later on came,it was monday afternoon
i didnt yet know i was goin to be in hell soon
i didnt really no what was going on
but my mum needed me,her only son.
later that day i went home,
nobody was in so i reached for my phone,
tried ring mum but her phone was off,
rang chris and vikki but only to a loss.
i went to see alison who said for me she was there,
we fell asleep with her stroking my hair,
i felt safe and assured and contempt,
the next days events,make me wish i had it was something id dreamt.
i went to work everything was fine, until 954am
when i started crying.
mum told me u better come home
and come see ur sister,before we become alone.
mick ran over and grabbed my shoulders,
stared into my eyes,they were like two big boulders.
phil saw my face,he knew something was wrong
"go to your mum scott, its where you belong."
i drove home,not knowing what to expect
i drove so fast i scared myself to death,
i pulled upto the house,went thru the front door,
i saw my mums face,my jaw hit the floor.
she told me a story, i couldnt take it in,
what had leah been doing,where had she been,
i started to tremble and breathe very fast,
i closed my eyes and remembered memories past.
we went to the hospital,it was a cold day outside,
we got to the hospital,i wanted too hide,
nurses running about all rushing around
what were they doing what had they found?
do u want to see leah,a voice said,
my mum tapped my shoulder,it hadnt gone into my head,
so i nodded up and down " i want to go see her"
"i want to see my sister, i want to see leah"
i walked into the room where my sister lay,
and saw her lying there i didnt know what to say.
i stroked her hair and kissed her cheek,
little did i no she wouldnt move for a week.
after seeing her lying there i had to stay,
go have a rest the doctors said, i couldnt go away.
but i kissed her hand and said goodbye,
i walked out of intensice care and started to cry.
the room was small, it had 4 chairs,
it smelt fruity,like apples and pears.
we all sat still, there was no sound,
apart from the drop of a tear that echoe'd all around.
the doctor came in, his face was grey,
i knew it was bad,it had been all day,
"leah is very poorly, i need you to know",
after hearing that i needed to go.
i went outside i couldnt look up,
my eyes were stinging, i was all shook up
i sat against a wall and couldnt accept what had i been told,
this is my sister,i started to feel cold.
i went back to the room,where my mum was crying,
everyones face was in shock, felt like i should be dying.
chris looked at me and i looked back,
storm clouds were building the sky went black.
for about a week my sister lay still,
then started showing signs of not being ill,
she started to move and open her eyes,
i knew she could see our big wide smiles.
people at work were really supportive,
told us they were there, and that we were thought of.
its times like that you really need your mates
mine were there, they were really great.
my sister got better, but it took a while,
now she is well, every day i smile,
cuz i know she is around, i know she is here,
she is my sister, i love you leah

no not at all. my bro in law woke her on the morning they were due to go on holiday,but she wouldnt wake,ambulance were called went straight to intensive care-sceptisemia(sp)meningicoclitus(sp)acute hyperthermia(sp)and some other thing i cant even pronounce-and she works in the hospital.
