I am liking astra coupe's, what engines do you get with them etc? I'd love an 888 but what others are there?
I am feeling a lower model with gsi kit, and 888 spoiler? opinions?

Check Parkers for engines. If you can afford insurance, the Turbo is the one to go for.

1.6
1.8
2.2
2.0 T
888 is a 2.0T but with more power & less luxuries

The 888 doesn't have any extra power over the normal turbo. The 1.6 is only available in the late convertible models.
I've got the 1.8 and it goes well for a big car.
Also there isn't a lot of difference between the 1.8 and 2.2 performance wise as the 1.8 has a close ratio gear box, so the 1.8 is only .3 of a second slower to 60.

888 is over priced imo, for what you get.
better off just going for a 2.0 t , can pick a decent one up for about 5500 these days.
few selsct mods and it well see 250bhp.

Coupe turbo is far better buy that the 888 simply because of the amount of choice for the former.

Snap. A few choice mods and they look ace! Although sometimes I wish I'd got a Turbo for the extra power and look, spec, etc. 888's a bit OTT styling wise for me to be honest, but I'd probably still have one anyway.

the 888 is for the prestige I think, but if you don't really care about that a turbo is probably better.
