get an old land rover defender pick up, you can take the roof of in summer, is interesting, parts are everywear and you could drive it for a few years and sell it for the price you brought it and soooooo easy to work on
My uncle has a slightly pimped hi-lux for work, as everyone says quality machines but use loads of fuel

deffo if u want a workhorse there is simply no better bolt on bolt off panels aswell cant go wrong and like baskey says hold their value
