Is this allowed ?
Basically I'm doing my engine swap in the next few weeks , and I'm going to buy a runaround for a while , as the work is being done (by me).
I want to take the insurance off my car , since it will be off the road but don't want to sorn it as its not like the car will be off the road for months on end .
Just wonder if this is allowed ?

Mate have you phoned them to tell them about another engine going in the car?
As i was looking at them as they are cheap but they wouldnt touch anything with a engine conversion

Speak to the insurance company and tell them its gonna be off the road for a while that way they can arrange storage insurance, you wont loose your no claims and if it gets nicked its still covered
