bananaman - It gets better, im technically a 4th yr and 21, qualified at NVQ level 3 in january.
At Ford we charge £75 an hour, and i our workshop on average makes 70 hours a day!
Dont know what it is at Vauxhall!

i better get a good wage i just passed all my college test and got my btech aswell, i cant afford to do anything to my car with my wages it sucks

But whatever you do buy, the labours free! Ford were really good with me, i paid for my £1000 holiday with guvvy jobs that i did over 2 months! You can basically charge what you want, as long as you undercut what they were going to pay, plus its all tax free in ur back pocket!
My best job so far is i fitted some Focus brakes in 5 minutes, and got £75 plus cost of parts (which i put a few quid on!) in my hand!
