I am have probs with the speedo drive in my gearbox. Sometimes it goes and sometime it doesnt.

It will always work first time in the morning but will chuck it after a couple of miles. Then it might go and die again.

This process is reapeted every day and is becoming tiresome. Will it be a gearbox out job to fix this or a new box.

ps the drive which goes into the gearbox has already been replaced

check condition of speedo cable i'd say, and then check the speedo cable going into the gearbox.

so its a mechanical driveis the cable engaued in the back of the clocks properly

checked everything mate even replaced the cable. took the clock out and drove it, cable does not appear to be spinning.

Surely it hasnt sheered if it goes sometimes?

Anybody know how hard it is to replace it?

The white thing that goes into the gearbox that turns the cable has been replaced.

I beleive its the part that turns that inside the gearbox which is acting up adam.

oo now thats tricky, cable and gear been replaced and the cable defiatlyu isnt turning?
seena set of dials do this and it was the speedo that was pished

getting another set of clocks from ebay adam, if it still dont go looks iam am gonna cry
