Sorry folks, selling my wheels on ebay and a guy wanted me to change my auction to buy it now so he could pay using his credit card. But i have said if he just transfers the money via paypal i will end the auction.

Seems ok but im a ebay newbie so i am very wary! this guy has only bought one item previously but from a power seller but...... the power seller seems a bit suss to me.

Can some check out these users for me?

Rich.

Be very careful in this situation.

Only change/end your auction if you are sure you will get the money. You can't beat hard cash

Whats the feedback of his account?

Dont do it, if he files a claim or anything you wont be protected at all, he was right to ask you to change to BIN so you both have protection. I have done that a couple of times

no, doesnt he have a feedback?

you might send a request via paypal, no problem, but do NOT give him bank details for direct transfer, or even address for sending checque.

cancel auction and relist with BIN? Or just cancel bids on auction then edit it. Can be edited as long as there is no less than 12hours left.

if you only give your account number and sort code theres nowt wrong it doesn't mean he can buy stuff with it. it's like giving out your phone number. people can ring you but not ring other people with your phone

if you give out your account number willingly, even as a victim of a scam, and you account is used fraudulently you will be considered negligent and your account is usually closed.
