its broadbean, and its shared over the network with a few pc's.

how can you make it really slow for everyone else, from one pc?

piece of software installed on a pc that acts as the gateway, you can configure loads of things, and probably traffic

Can use a proxy but would mean setting up the pcs to use it, otherwise just download load lots of big files at silly speeds.

though why do you want to slow down one of the connections?

you can probably totally cut the other users off by IP by altering a setting in your router

true - could switch off DHCP if the router is using it and assign yourself a static ip address. Otherwise, change the IP address range if you are using static ip addresses.

or simply switch the router off connect straight to the incoming connection

moswt routers just have a deny outgoing traffic for certain IP address's in there firewall

what router are you using as the new linksys ones allow you to set priority on the ports
