Just started watching the new ones this week, and the last time a saw it, Al was leaving and now Roy died, who else has gone from the shop in the last few shows apprts from Charlie the painter?? and why

Yep chip does Overhaulin', Beetle Bailey and Charlie the painter both left Boyd to join Foose.
Al that designed and build most of the chassis left aswell I think.
Not seen any of the recent ones so not sure who is there and who isn't anymore.
Sad news to hear that Roy died

Yeah Foose used to work with Boyde then went out on his own.. Think he is doing better cos he doesnt cost as much..

foose does alot of freelance work as he is an actual car designer. where as chip employs peopleto design along side him, watching overhaulin shows how much detail he puts into the design of the cars its amazing.
al still works there at boyds.

I prefer overhaulin to AHR, loads more detail in it, chip used to be partners with Boyd but they both had a big fall out so foose went on his own and was accused of stealing boyds workers

boyd taught chip everything he knows, he was an apprentice at boyds years ago, then when chip wanted to start up on his own then boyd fell out with him and the rivalry started there, charlie, beetle bailey and mike all have moved over to chip now, i've seen all 3 on episodes of overhaulin, mikes face is abit strange because most of it is metal plates from a car crash he had, al still helps out at boyds, thomas does too now and again when they need a hand and roy died over a year ago, but its only just been on tv the last few weeks because they have to film so far in advance to make up a full series

wasnt boyd's son in the car with mike when it crashed. chip is a legend he was invoved in the design for elenor from gone in 60 seconds and makes/designs some of the best cars around. I used to watch american hotrod alot and Boyd just seems to get the designs off one bloke and then give them to the shop to make it he sometimes comes down to tell them to hurry up and then people leave cos they have to work hours on end to finish the cars inside silly deadlines.

yeah boyd seems like an absolute coont but he produces sexual cars like the 1200bhp red corvette, then the aluma tub which was just plain awesome!!!

but he doesn't actually touch the cars himself, i've heard that chip works on every car that comes out of his garage, boyd gets his monkeys to build the cars and takes all the credit, he doesn't even design them wereas chip does, chip is better in my eyes

yeah i reckon if you took boyd out of his shop for a month you would not notice any difference to the cars. Whereas if chip was off overhaulin for a couple of shows the cars would be nothing like what they should be. his skills on the drawing bored aswell are emence
