Looks ok, nice price. Take some of the tat off it and you'd have an ideal base car. Already got some tuning goodies on too.

I don't think the rear lights are all that bad but that seems to be quite a bargain!

Its got a Mantzel inlet, thats why the engine looks different. Also looks like its got some fancy exhaust manifold too.

one thing I'd do is ask how much was on the old engine mate. cause the engine may be clean but shell might not be so good

Nah thatt not what an inlet does, basically the standard inlet is quite restrictive. The Manztel just gets rid of all the bends and twists so the air has a more direct route.
Only thing i'd be worried about is that its got the c16xe engine in and not an x16xe, its only an engine change but it seems a bit odd. Old engine was possibly ragged to destruction?

Don't think i'd pay £1700 for an R-reg corsa but each to their own.

does seem odd swapping to an older engine for only 3/4bhp. why that much effort for small gains unless the current engine was nackered?

id pay that for it if its a good onem old engine was prob damaged so a c16 was fitted in its pace, imoboliser prob wont work if thats the case. The Mantzel does work to its full potential at higher RPM's therfore a remap / raised rev limit is advised along with arp rod bolts.
Id check for any ecu lights on any car with an inlet, make sure it comes on with ignition (some people have been known to remove the bulb)

Mantzel box and he might be wrong about it being a GSi engine, its quicker, but he clearly doesn't know why.
Check the engine numbers, haggle on price and you might get a good one. Its been nowhere if that mileage is genuine.

its got X16XE Vac hoses, and Aircon by the looks of it
i'd buy it, as long as the mileage is what he says it is

iv decided agaisnt goin to look at it as its a fella sellin it on ebay for his bro as it came in as a part ex so all the work done byt vaux techs is word of mouth in my eyes doesnt seem that up on much so im not prepared to take the risk on it
goin to have a look at a few standard 16 sports tomorrow on me day off see what happens
watson i sold mine cos i got as far as i could go an it was hittin 95k and this way its abit nippier then my 1.4 8v, my idea for this is to have it for a couple of years maybe 3 an build up my ncbs as up to now iv always bin on my mum insurnace so this is the wisest chioce to use as i love corsas an have no reason to change manufactures
