As above really, has anyone here just quit there job and gone?
I am very close to doing it at the moment but wondered if I "have to" complete my notice?
My job has got to the point now where it's getting me down, I can't unwind and im taking it out on people and making myself ill.
I am looking for other jobs but I can't take much more here, each day im getting more and more crap, covering for more and more people, never get a break or lunch, dont get on with my boss, a new manager is coming in and i need to carry him as he wont know anything about the place and ill get nothing for it (not even a thanks)
Oh and today we have 2 people off and tomorrow we have 5 people off, leaves me and my boss (who does nothing) and I need to keep the factory going so today I need to learn another girls job on batching (takes the mick)
Anyone got any ideas OR what have you done?

go to citezens adivce if you dont feel you are being treated right, I dont think you have 2 finish your contract if you leave on illness or unfair terms. not 2 sure.

You can just leave, but don't expect a reference from them.

As ed highlighted it's a case of - do you want a referance or not?

You need to work your notice really, thats if you want a reference off them anyway, if you aren't bothered about a reference then just go missing, thats what i did from one of mine.

I have 2 weeks booked off from here in September (going tenerife)
I have taken 2 days off so far this year.
I have a reference from the guy who employed me already, just not from my current manager (whos leaving)

Get a reference before he/she leaves, then when they leave, you leave

put your foot down, work to the book, make sure you have your breaks, and do your job and your job only, ie what you get paid to do. etc. Worse they can do is sack you, doesn't really matter if your planning on walking out.

see what holiday you have left book the holiday if you can then hand in your notice for the time you are on holiday therefor your not having to work a months notice! if that makes any sense
