Erm and also where do i plug a diagnosis finder in? i heard its a green plug but cant seen any on the actual ecu

was just looking for an answer as alot of people on this forum actually have a 106 or know about them.

Let me get this straight, corsasport is the forum, general chat is the thread, and any ideas? is the post.
My diagnostics reader was on the front, if you dont have a plug in the front im not sure. Have your tried plugging it in in various places?

I dont think its as simple as trying to plug it into random places.
The actual reader is a bodge as its just a flat metal connector which you need to plug into one of the plug holes.

Quite, but the most appropriate place would still be HZ. It also annoys the crap out of me when people say 'I know its in the wrong place but...'. That for me is like 'I know you're going to have to take some time sorting this but I don't give a shit'.

I was meaning i know this isnt the right forum but i didnt actually mention the actual place in the forum.

infact im sure thats what they plugged the laptop into to setup the dastek system, maybe a plug they use to reflash the ecu etc

im scared, if i disconnect it will it screw up the ecu and loose all settings? or is it all predefined and cant really screw it up.

you wont screw the ecu settings up they are stored in eprom
