might get a decent reply, u never know

i have 3, one is about 16 one is about 7 and other about 5

the yougest is im told brain damaged, she had little balence or could judge distances etc mostly affecting the right hand side. she got better after a year only affects her when tired

but now she is sniffing the air a hell of a lot, and if we walk up to her she sniffs us more than usual

worse still thou she keeps beating or trying to beat the shit out of the oldest one, and given half a chance will have a go at the other one

for simple example, oldest and youngest sleeping on the sofa for about 4 hours next to each other
oldest get up goes out, gets a drink comes back in, youngest growls and make a dive on her and starts beating the crap outtta her

purely random

today she was asleep on my knee i was whatchin tv, one of them comes downstairs and she starts growling.

i have no idea why she has started doing it, but every time she gets starts a fight, she is the one who gets hurt.

now the only thing me an my dad can suggest first we thought it was that the oldest is dying, "getting old" and she is pushing her out,

but its purely random to both the other cats

2nd was she is going, gone partly blind and is just attacking anything.

is there any way i can test this? if you shine a light in her eyes they shrink up like they should and go big when its dark.

i have ran out of ideas and gonna take her the vet if it doesnt stop.

any ideas?

have you always had 3 cats, because when i got a second one, my first cat took a good year to accept it and would always attack it. maybe thats it?

How was the brain damage caused? Could be impaired memory - like the little one doesn't remember the other cats and so when she sees them just attacks (like natural reaction to another cat she's 'never seen before'). Could also explain why she's sniffing a lot 'experiencing new smells' just because she doesn't remember them.

its called attaxia apparently and affects the balence and judgeing distences etc

it was caused when she was born, she was stuck when being born and starved of oxygen from what we were told
