i know it is a very long shot, but is there anyone on here who is insured on an xe at 18? or does anybody know anywhere that would? i know the chances of it are slim to none but want to know.

Not a chance in hell mate TBH. I'm 22 and with 2 years NCB in a low crime rated area and the quotes are still quite high!

its worth a shot with www.quinn-direct.co.uk mate. I can get insured on a 1.4 sport for £900, and I've been driving for 10 weeks, with 3 points, and a write off

its hard to say tbh , half the time you wonder where insurance get there figures as details can be almost identical , yet be hundreds of pounds different from a previous quote . you may aswell try a few places .

I was 18 with an XE, think i was paying £1700 fully comp with 1 years no claims with flux.

im just turned 20, with 1yrs ncb, 2 not at fault claims (1. hit by uninsured driver, 2. car stolen) with all mods declaired for £1298 tpft

Get a 1.6 build up no claims and then get a xe. That is silly money for insurance.

Pm tom n - He was 19 when insured on his 2.0 16v corsa and i think he was with norwich union i think

when you're 19 it comes down loads.. cant get insured with many places like flux etc until you're 19..

just get a 1600 as 130bhp is very easy to get with a few mods thats the route i chose and im 18 im gonna wait til im 20 and xe it

They wont even touch a 1.6 corsa until im 21

even when i had me old corsa gsi, it was hard to find anyone to insure me on it even after i had owned and insured it for a yr. only people that would touch me on it was elephant.co.uk for £921 fc wit all mods declaired, 1yrs ncb, my gf and her points

I had mine insured when i was 19 no ncb, cost me £1750 tpft. That was when i had more money than sense.

well i am 21 with no points and no claims in a ok area and i pay £655 on my gsi.
