Taken from a local cruise site
[quote="Chris Astley Motorsport"]Here are some pics of it state about 2-3 weeks ago looking in a sorry state! Hadnt touched it since last august when i broke a piston in the motor and never got round to fixing it!

And here it is after what i have done recently, built my new engine and got everything back to gether! Just givin it a wash as it was looking a rather dirty! Still aiming to get to pvs in it next weekend if i manage to get it mapped ok! Its far quicker than i thought it would be, so much so i have smoked the standard clutch in 4 miles!

Just off now to pick up a paddle clutch and heavy duty pressure plate! Hopefully get it fitted today and get the wiring finished!

[quote="Chris Astley Motorsport"]The engine is 1600cc, using a 1.6 16v bottom end with ARP rod bolts, big valve head extensively ported and polished, solid lifters, kent ast9 full race cam, larger 70mm throttle body, dta management, with approx 160bhp.
i like it!

someone on migweb asked this for another nova and apparently you get quite good airflow there

i can understand alot of air will be at the back of the engine, but wont it be warm? and dont you need cold air for them to work effectivly

reading the post on migweb the nova has those grills at the bottom of the windscreenn and the air feed there is really good.
Apparrently its a high pressure area on a nova and shielded from the hot air in the engine bay so ideal for an air intake.

its a good position in any car, airflow is very good round the back of an engine, as it flows up the bulkheed
edit : hadnt seen the piccies when i posted, have now changed my mind
