/\ got a pic im always interested in dif colours

gavin at nu-agane has been an absolute legsn today and has done some research for me!

i text him yesterday asking if he could find out if the europa and chagal blues were the same he came back with...

Hi Mark,

I have done some research for you and found a VX220 Turbo (called Opel Speedster in Europe) painted in a colour called Chagall Blue. This is the link.

On our software from Max Meyer, paint code 3VU (chagal blue) is only used on the Speedster model (VX220) and the picture looks the same colour. Unfortunately, both our paint suppliers do not have colour chips for the colour.

Having looked at the paint formulation and both pictures of Coral Blue and the link I have provided I am convinced they are both the same colour, just Europe and the UK giving the colour a different name.

I hope this helps, Gavin.

Unfortuantely the link doesn't want to work in the e-mail.

He then sent another e-mail later:

Hi Mark,

I have mixed some of the paint and done a spray-out card. Send me your address and I can send the card to you for you to look at. The colour sprayed is Chagal Blue pearlescent.

Many thanks, Gavin.

i just sprayed a Honda S2000 on friday in a colour called Monte Carlo Blue Pearl and that was a very nice deep blue!

go to a local paint supplier or the bodyshop and look at loads of the swatches and there are thousands of blue`s to go for, then once u have chosen the blue there will most probably be a few varients of that colour so many colours to choose from!

and also just tell the bodyshop what colour u want and they will get it all in!

looks well mint on the nova!

Obviously you have gone down the route of doing the whole car.

When i get my car done i was only planning on the usual respray, its just about fully sound deadened anyway. Will they have to take some of the interior out or???

I was told they wouldn't but i thought they would have had to.
