During the World Cup we will be working till 10pm from a 9am start, anyone know if this is actually legal? 13 hour day is a long old day stuck in the office for 4 weeks

As long as you get a minimum 20 minute break every 4 hours or something like that I think its all above board!!

The EU working time directive states that you cant work over a certain number of hours a week. Im not sure what that amount is though.
Unless you opted out of that in your contract of employment.

I think in every week you should be entitled to 24 hours uninterupted rest or something like that. I'm not 100% sure on that though lol.

lorry drivers are allowed to do up2 15 hours a day with certain lenght breaks etc and a minimum of 6 hours sleep/break

my average weekend consists of me working
friday 4pm till saturday4am, then saturday 12pm- sunday 4am, sunday 6pm-monday 1am

Twice a week i have to do 9am till 10pm with a sunday in there too!!!!
Its to much! I need a 9-5 mon-fri job!

I believe as long as there is a minimum of 11 hours between shifts it's legal
