You guys remember a while ago, we had to move house, for various reasons...

We found a nice house to rent just down in the next village... lived here for about a year now...

Today the landlord turned up with the estate agent and stuck a bloody for sale sign in the garden, we have 1 month till we have to move out

Makes it worse cos parents are off away for 2 weeks on Saturday so they won't be able to look for a new place.... also I am off away in a week too, so won't be able to do a right lot! all in all we only have 2 weeks to find a new place and move out!!!!!!

did you sign the contract for renting the house? was it a minimum 1month term or full fixed 12month term contract?

if its 12 month you should be able to stay there as the contract is binding

Yeah, it was initially a 2 month contract, but the guy liked us, so he changed the contract to say something like....... 1 months notice must be given by either party to cancel the contract.... so it was an indefinate let...... guess he just wants to sell up and move on...

Not really gonna go into it on a car forum...

But it's cheaper to rent a house round here than buy it, it's a well sought after place to live, and they need the time to sort stuff out financially without been tied to a mortgage... if you know what I mean

I would be p***ed off as well, especially because the landlord just turned up without pre-warning you. I hope you find somewhere soon. I have just sold my house and have 4 weeks to find a rented flat so I understand the pressure your under.

Why not try to buy the place yourself?

Go to an estate agents, you will be amazed at the deals they will offer you or better still a finanical mortgage advisor who works on a commission basis from the lender which means you dont have to pay for the fees!!

as I said above, not really going in to it on a car forum, but we are renting and that is our only option, by choice, by force, by whatever, we can only rent.
