my tuned 1.4spi is making 39mpg which is about 350 to a full tank

I drive everywhere either in traffic, or with my boot flat to the floor.

The 1 litre 12volt is a nippier car. 1.2 8v is the worst of the worst.

why not, I got a 50% ower hike for 150 quid and a weekends work, didnt have to go with a specialist company (admiral etc wont cover engine swaps) and it does 40 to the gallon all day long while producing good power.

If everyone else iis too blinkered to see it then thats not my problem!

i see, power output figures are a little optimistic, but it is it really worth bothering with even if it is 90bhp??

theyre proven mate.

IMO when youre young, cant insure bigger and better things and come on sites like this askig how to tune a 1400spi engine, the advice is worthwhile. Its an excellent engine which requires no transplant. As I said you can cover it with admiral etc as opposed to going to the likes of flux, and its as good if not better than a cammed sri engine.

If you can insurea valver then fine, but its not the only way.

(and 90hp in a nove with a cr box is more than enough for a little fun if the road is twisty enough!)

Those with 200 miles to a full tank, did you have or got alloys.

My 1.2 8v went from 350miles to a tank standard,
to 220miles to a tank just by putting 17s on.
Its now doing 380+ doing motorway miles and back to standard
