Its been cutting out all the way to work and when i finally get there it now wont start. When i was driving there was a loud rattling noise cumming from around my timeing belt? Any ideas on what might be the problem? it also lost alot of power! sorry for the essay!!

sounds bloody sick, rattling and a loss of power normally somthing serious in the engine has lunched itself
what engine is it?

1.4 16v sport i dont understant why it wont start tho and my dad had a listen down the phone and said it sounds like my engine has gone!!

could be any manner of things but loud noises from the engine is not good and you will damage it further if you drive
my guess timing belt has gone(i stress though just a guess)

it wouldnt drive under its own power if the belt had snapped... its probably just slipped a tooth or 6

take the oil cap off and get someone to turn it over
if you can see the cams move the belt is intact
but if its sick take it to a garage
