you'll get a lot of noise, and a lot of emissions.

Might get a couple of bhp if you're lucky.

You may benefit more with a tuned engine, with a car with just filter and a regular system I don't really see the point.
I've seen cars gain 1bhp on a rolling road from fitting a de cat. My mate had one on his 1.2 SXi for a while. It ran terible so he took it off.

I think it can mess up the air flow rate, I'm not too sure to be honest.

ive had my 2.0 decatted but that was purely because the engine is precat and the previous owner didnt declaire it like i have so i dont need the cat on it. on my old 1.2i 8v nova, i took the cat off it as that was also just before the cat was needed and i did make it only very slightly more responsive

so i think its obvious to see that £70 on 1 is a waste of money unless i see 1 for £15-£20

i wouldnt pay that much for a decat as its only a straight piece of pipe that costs £10 max.
ive just welded in a piece of stainless in me system but thats because i dont need to remove it. if u need it to be removeable then just leave the cat in it or get a knacked cat from a scrappy and mod that to a straight through pipe
