As you probably know the European parliament moves lock stock and barrel once a month from Brussels/Belgium to Strasbourg/France. The only reason for this stupid and expensive exercise is that the French insist on it!! They don't even have to pay the 200 million it costs every year to do this. The tab is picked up by all of us taxpayers in the other member countries of the European Union.

It has just come to my attention that a number of sensible Members of the European Parliament have taken an initiative to put an end to this French madness. Although I don't normally send on chain letters I would urge you all to surf to the website http://www.oneseat.eu and add your signature to the petition there. Then pass this email on to as many people as you can. In order to have any effect they need at least a million signatures so we need to give them all the help we can
