Well, if you got some, you don't need to put £10 on to get free texts

I had a Genie one, before they became o2 Online. I'd get 300 free texts a month but would have to top up by £10 a month otherwise the phone wouldn't work, even though there was credit on it. I ended up with £30 of credit that never got used. So effectively I was kind of paying for them.

Now have o2 Online contract - Much better £20 a month and 500 free text and 500 free minutes plus 150 mms etc.

If you make a lot of calls as well as texts theyr'e worth having, otherwise get a contract.
