One vehicle to another?

Obviously you'll need both tax discs but what else do the DVLA insist on?

£80 is going rate as well isnt it?

You will need both MOT's, V5's & form (available from post office) - you do not need the Tax disc they print you new ones & give you an envelope to send back the old disc!!

Its not instant either by the way. Expect to wait for a few weeks as they send new v5's out.

I think you do need the tax disks too as they write down the numbers off them.. But you get it straight back to display on your vehicle until you receive the new one..

Im just in the process of putting my plate on retention. You fill in the form, send it off.... With £105. They send you a conf letter, and a new tax disc. You send them the old tax disc back. Then they send you a certeficate thing to say the plate is on retention, and your V5.

The whole process takes a few weeks which is v annoying
