Had a reminder for the 206 road tax... due end of may

Sounds like new owner has not registerd it!

What can i do? Having trouble getting intouch with him!!

not your problem mate if youve sold it send the letter back to the dvla with the date you sold it on!

V11's are printed 6 weeks before the tax expires. So if you sell the car after then you still get the V11, so nothing to worry about

Is it not your responsibility to send off the V5, so that the DVLA can transfer ownership of the vehicle? I'm sure welshdude will confirm or kill this.

it is the previous owners duty to send off the form

Yeh seller must send off the V5!!

My uncle sold a Passat a while back to three big blokes who came round with £7,500.00 cash.

They "persuaded" him to let them send off the V5, two weeks later the police come over because the car has been used as a get away vehicle in a armed robbery (and it's still reg'd to my uncle)

Police made it very clear it's HIM who should send off the V5

Expensive getaway vehicle? Would it not be cheaper to just steal the car?
