Technically, the Spruce Goose which was finished in 1947 is bigger than both the Antonov 225 and The A380.
Wingspan of 319ft, Length 218ft, Height 79ft.
Compare this to the 290, 277 and 59 of the Antonov. It's a fair big bigger.
Shame it never did much.

The Hurcules is only bigger in certain dimensions.

besides, it is also lighter than an A380 and AN225, and on par with a 747, all fully laden.
I remember being in Sydney Harbour when the A380 did multiple fly pasts, it was totally incredible

I was actually at heathrow though, when seeing it there in front of you, you see just how big it looks compared to the other planes.

Yeah it was taxing in and went past a British Airways plane, and they are pretty big, but the size of it compared to a Cathay Pacific Jumbo Jet - its massive lol - Wish i was there to see it Looked good though!

Hmmm, the thing is, will it be a success? Boeing seem to thing that faster more efficinet aircraft are the way forwards. I would tend to agree. But them the argument would come back that you could fit more people in the Airbus and make more money doing that. Still a bloody impressive piece of engineering though!

A bit off topic but why does everything like this get compared to either london buses or football pitches?
