looks like a stock rod. will probably be pinto engined. fairly common really. abnormal to use a nova though, normally old starlet/fiesta, or just a fiberglass shell that looks like something new

stockrods are always steel shell on original chassis, space frame is not allowed.

again if it were a stock rod would have to be a 1.4 vaux engine, novas dominated this formula when rwd starlets ran out! last i heard 205xs and ax gt were the most competative

if it is ford powered it will probably be a local formula like grpA or 2 litre hot rods

its probably a pinto engine, this is commonly found in abnormal powered novas, doubt its the cosworth engine cant imagine it 4wd,in a nova or even rwd for that matter, but would like to be proved wrong because it would be a machine

not sure really I was just thinking it prob was rwd as the ride height seems very low (squating) at the back this is a common set up on the ovals for rwd.

when its fwd the back is usualy higher

yeah Pete, used to race rookie bangers at brafield with a mate, never really was interested in the non contact formulae

if it is a pinto, it will only be 130bhp at the most, as they are supposed to be standard iirc

Brafield on the green raceway is cool!

used to go there loads and especially the caravan derby each year which was very funny even though its didnt last long!

but the nova does look cool, always wanted to put a corsa hot rod onto the road!
