Bloody hell!
That's Dreadnought Motorsport's ZT520 endurance racer.
It's a monster and makes 520 bhp (hence the name)
They're based in Perthshire.
Surprised it was out and about like that.
Amazing car. They built it from the ground up and had it painted at Longbridge. Must have cost a fortune to build.
It did a 24hr Endurance event in the Britcar series at Silverstone last year, and i'm going to watch it run there this year.
Porsche is a bit of a rarity on the road too.
Great pics Eck.

The car was sitting outside there place mate, the Dreadnought dealership is in a small place called Callender about 20 miles from my house, its joint run with TVR and it joined onto the local Esso petrol station. A few mechanics were working on it when I pulled into the grarge and they were cutting a line into the middle of the bonnet with a hacksaw so that they could put anoth bonnet pin in place to go with the 2 outside ones. Notice the road legal cut slicks

You lucky sod Eck, living that near to them.
They're a good bunch there.
After having no luck locally, I got my diff oil by mail order from them and will be getting some nice bits and bobs from them too.
If all goes to plan, in about 4 & 1/2 years time, i'll be making a trip to them to get a blower fitted.
Regarding those road legal slicks, i'd heard they'd been doing some road testing but wasn't sure if it was only rumour, apparently it's all true judging by the tyres.
Did you hear it running?

It's normally aspirated CM.
It utilises the dohc heads.
It's had head work etc, and has been enlarged from 4.6 to 5.0 litres.
They might actually have just modified an SV lump and dropped that in, as the SV unit is quad cam.
I think the SV-R has the 5.0 litre capacity increase as standard though aswell as the blower.

The ZT's gearing is far too tall currently.
They've just installed a sequential box and are testing at the moment, in order to calculate what ratios to run for maximum attack out of bends and to get the best lap times without topping out too soon on the straights.

big bhp doesnt mean a fast car. it was just too big to keep up with the smaller cars in the corners.

It's an endurance racer aswell, so isn't set up for short sprint events that better suit lighter smaller cars.

That was after four burnouts and four runs up the Pod, plus a month's abuse.
Broke the Mongoose on the Turbo aswell remember. I think it's me and not the cars.
Zed pipe didn't come off again after I put it back on though did it.
Put X-power silencers on Dad's the other night.
Sounds...interesting.
