right im picking a car up on sat and will have the money on monday to buy my private plate , i obviously need to send the log book off ot register me as new keeper etc but do i have to wait til i recieve this back before i can buy my private plate ?
or can i buy my private plate and just wait til the log book comes back then go to the dvla centre to get it all signed up to my car?

i saw a really good private number plate 2day = I234 MC on a BMW X5 i thought i was quite good

I think you can just buy it
Cannot remember the process when I bought mine
What are you getting

They will tell you when you call them to buy it
They reel some paragraph off when you buy it - takes about ten minutes for them to read it to you

You can buy the plate as the reg is given on certificate.
