I've glued up a boot lock by mistake any way of geting rid of the glue! need to be able to turn the key in the barrel but its glued! anything work like heating it up etc?

firstly, how?
and secondly, yes, there are products available to unstick glue, for situations like sticking your fingers together

We was trying to mod my 306 bootlock to a 406 one i got from the scrap yard, tried glueing on a plate that matches up to the surrond, didn't realise until later that it was on to a bit that needs to be able to move for the mechanism to move.

Anything that is resin based, like Araldite can be removed with Nitromors.
Other stuff like Superglue can be removed with nail varnish remover or special superglue removers.
