Hey every1, does any1 know of any companies that will tune my gear box so that 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear are lower ratio for acceleration and leave 4th and 5th gear for normal top speed???

that wont work, you either have a short ratio box or long, you cant mix and match

Why not just go for a close ratio box? When are you going to go over 110 anyay?

I was looking at a quaife close ratio 5 speeder for mine. Wouldn't of done much over 120, and it was doing 4500rpm when at 70 in 5th

Thats if the thing would move with such close ratios and such a powerful engine

That would leave a gap between third and fourth and it wouldn't make motorway roundabouts very nice to drive around as you would either need to be bogging it in fourth or making loads of noise and going nowhere in third.

If you want short ratios but still a long top end you probably need more gears, which you can only have with a big block engine (2 litre etc.). Even then one guy who had a 6 speed in his naturally aspirated 2 litre had said the ratios were no good as the box is designed for the turbo.
