Had to buy a new car today....
First of all took my corsa B to the garage because keeps having problems... it really got on my nerves.
So took it to the garage and they couldn't get their computer to commicate with the car, unforunaltly it all gone wrong, electrics and engine went all knackered. Was gutted appartley found out that my car was a write off for sure and it not safe to drive (can't understand why MOT passed last year). Anyway in spur of moment my dad just said to me just get a new car and won't have any troubles as it be under warrenty.
Anyway went to the show room. And thought oh wow must get the new vauxhall corsa.
Just went and bought it.
Ah well at least everything sorted now.
So need to ask u guys what could i modified my car with? But not the engine at the moment just the body.

We can't all spend our entire lives saving up for what we want, sometimes when we want something now we gotta go down the credit route!

Heh?
he meens how can you say a car is a write off if it was not involved in a car accident, what the lad probs meant to say was the car was beyond economical repair, or the garage you took it to were full of inbreds and told you shoot.

Who said anything abt me getting finace on the car ? How do u know if I paid cash on the car or not ?
Didn't get finance on the car actually, I had money from the will.
But even thought i didn't have the money from the will, i would consider getting fiance on the car. However at the end of the day, things are too expensive to buy these days and the only way is finance as long you can afford it and won't stuggle to pay then that all it matters.

I bought a semi shitter for my first car, with will money funnily enough, but last year when I realised it wouldnt be worth it to keep fixing it, i decided on a newer car. I had about 4k saved up, so could have gone out and bought a decent 306 D Turbo or whatever, but i decided to take out a loan for another 4k to help me get my 04 ibiza. I now have a much better car (IMO) then i would have had, im just paying for it as i go along rather than all at once. If you know how to handle your money, i dont see any problem in taking out finance or a loan...

So what would you do if you wanted to buy a brand new £15k car for example and you were only earning £10k/year or something, would you still save up and not do anything socially etc. or would you just get it on finance?
