POLO GTi's?
Im thinking of selling my Punto HGT and getting a POLO GTi, (2000/2001 ish model) what do people think to them. Has anybody had any experience with them etc?
I have about 4.5K budget to spend and want something reliable and nippy and subtle.
If anybody has any nfo it would be very helpful

Lupo is a bit out of my price range, they are going for about £6000.
So the polo is the next best thing! Apparently they are quite nice inside, and VW reliability is something i look forward to!

Polo 6n and 6n2 GTi are great cars, lupo is better though.
I plan on trading mine in for a lupo in a couple years time.
or.... wait for the new shape lupo to come out at the end of the year and then the current lupo will be even cheaper

I drive a polo GTI had it for about 2-3 months now. Love it to bits, is nippy, handles bloody well, rare, all round good fun and the build quality is ace! plus xenons!!!!
I love mine to bits, dont find it slow at all and i came from a tuned vectra V6 to one and think its ace!

No they arent slow! Not calling them fast but you cant call them slow!
SXi_Tim - Had 3.0 cams, decat, magnex cat back, 4 bar fuel reg, uni chip remap, enlarged throttle body and K&N in standard air box. Plus had lightened flywheel.
Was RR at 201bhp and 205 lbs/ft

Im not too bothered about the speed, I have a Punto HGT at the moment which is quite nippy, however i am more than happy to sacrifice a bit of speed for a bit more quality.
Does anyone have any tips of what to look out for when buying one?
