If there are any, what cymbals do you use? I'm looking to upgrade and am tempted by Zildjain A custom hi hats and ride, and maybe the same for crashes or K custom.I go to the ACM in Guildford and most kits have the A hats and ride.Just wondering if anyone has some really nice sounding ones.
Also, is this in the right section?

It depends what sound you want
A Custs are bright and "shimmery" where-as K Customs are darker and drier.

use a custom pearl kit with Zildjain A's in the studio, and i dont like playing on them - especially as the drum live room isnt the biggest room in the world, sounds extremely bright and makes me gringe whilst playing, though other drummers seem to like them.....
would pop of to a music shop and have a bang, only way of telling i guess

Sabian and Zildjian are owned by the same company If I had the cash, I'd have Paiste Sigs

As far as I was aware Sabian and Zildjian were 2 different companies headed by brothers. Might be wrong though.

I like the A custom ones quite a lot.I'll have to try some. Some of the drum tutors at ACM are amazing, there's Pete Riley who played for Republica, one of my teachers recently did the Katie Melua tour and played at the commonwealth games. One of the guitar teachers toured with Alice cooper and is the one that spoke on wayne's world back stage.
