can anyone recomend anything i should do to the engien before fitting it??
giving it a clean and a paint and also changing the timing belt.


also, mate says its possible but am not sure. can an engine change be done in a weekend?? original engine was x14xe?

Would be a good idea to do timing belt, all rollers and tensioners and water pump while its out. Maybe clutch too. Its down to how far you wana go really.

its basically like for like.... so yes, very much possible in one weekend.
Treat any rust or paint any scrathched places in the bay... Basically give it a damn good clean, and check for rust etc

check ALL the pipes and wires are done up properly

were doing it at his work so got all the right tools loads of space and stuff.
doing the timing belt but not tensioners or that as they were just replaced not that long ago, along with water pump.

remember you will need the ecu and transponders from the donor car otherwise the engine wont start
