people who have got loans before.... can you get one if your on a 12 month contract in your job?

every lender has different policys

as a mortgage lender we will give mortgages to people who are on contract work depending on there being a history of the contract being renewed

Age doesnt have any bearing at all only when it comes to the term

and its credit score not credit history

Sometimes I think its just random!! I have an almost perfect credit score (I have checked) yet have been turned down for things.

The only problem is if you make to many applications this lowers yours score aswell even if you don’t actually take the loan!!
