i think its down to the education system, all the girls seem more interested in making themselfs look like sluts and reading Closer/Pick Me Up/Heat/Now and all those pointless wastes of paper, than learning
i also blame the news, without a doubt THE single most pointless programme on TV
i have the internet, if i want to know whats happened in the world today, i can go on a website to look at news stories
i dont really care if some bloke somewhere drove into a roundabout, or if someone walked 37 miles on broken glass, it doesnt affect me, so why do i need to know

It depends on what news you watch. The local news is normally filled with crap. Especially in Birmingham. People have a problem with people making a general statement saying that the futher north you get the more stupid the people get. But some of the crap on the Birmingham news is just rediculous. I'm sure there was an animal fasion show a while back.
