Not the 306 but a 106 S2 rallye, the stripped part didnt bother me; only thing that reallys lets that one down a bit is that its not that original anymore

Gearboxes are a major prob on the 306 gti's and i think that would be around the millage where problems MAY occur

Yeah i agree

Always wanted a 306 GTI-6 or a Ralleye! Mind you i always wanted a 106 GTI and that turned out to be a bit of a disapointment

I believe the 306 is about the same speed but has more torque so is a better drive? I like bigger cars anyway.

Lovely cars, there not exactly stripped out as standard, noise will only become a factor if you continue to strip more so. I dont think it makes the car not standard anymore only compliments the original nature of the car as it was intended.

Right what i cant understand is,
106 1.6 16v GTi's are grp ins 13 and
106 1.6 8v Rallyes are grp 10

I know the GTi's are 120bhp and the rallye's are like 110 but surely that shouldnt mean a difference of 3 insurance grps.

Sorry for hijacking your thread

Looks very nice that!

The gearboxes can be an issue but tend to only be on the higher millage cars
