to be fair one day at the strip in the 106 i could pull no lower than 15.7 up to 16.1 then another day was as low as 15.2 so its not unusual to see car pulling slow times, i still think mid 14's are too optimistic tho

Well its a very nippy car Steve, Loved every minute in it, fair play to him, how many 1.6 engines do u see with Tb's, there are to many XE's!!!!

i went from a 17.2 to a 15.7 with my old engine. in a day.......

As they say, the proof is in the pudding.

I'm not one to just blab out a stupidly low time, I do have my reasons. The main one being that I ran a 14.6 in a car with 160bhp. Yes, it weighs less than Marks, but Mark has a further 20bhp. Not only that, but he has more revs than I do, so can stay in his power band for longer.

After being in Marks car numberous times I am convinced it is quicker than mine (although Mark will say the opposite

). I'm merely comparing Marks car with mine. Hence my reasoning for saying a mid 14 second 1/4mile time is within reach.
