might be able to get you a 2 post one.
where moving to new premises and where having ramps that come out of the floor so mr soper is selling the old ones off.

2 post is better anyway, cos you can do jobs with the wheels off, only thing you cant do really is tracking, but i doubt you'd be doing that anyway

maybe look at garages that are being auctioned kind of thing

my dad was needing bits for fitting lorry tyres (cost about £200) a kind of crow bar thing and he looked at auctions where garages went bust and they were selling everything

You can get 4 posters on Ebay for around £1000 - £1500 sometimes. I was looking into it a while back...

Should be able to get one for less than a grand. I have a pair of four posters in storage. Not really wanting to sell them but before you pay a grand for one let me know.

I just bought a new 2 post one for £3k

I'm sure you can get new 4 post budget style ones for around the £1800+vat mark


rope operated are basically steel cables
one post is hydraulic which pulls the other four posts up basically using ropes and pulleys as you say!

Not got the room for one now I was supposed to be having a whole barn for a workshop, could have fitted about 5 lifts, a spray booth and room for storage in it
