First off I’ve had loads of calls from call centres who say that they have ‘at least 5 potential buyers for your car’ – no thanks

I’ve also got my car on eBay without a reserve on a 99p start. The number of stupid offers I’ve been getting like ‘would you accept £500?’ is beyond. A standard car is worth 2k. I know modifications don’t add value but there are some really cheeky people out there.

Then you’ve got the scam artists, one asked me if I could ship the car to Ireland for 3000 euros – sorry I don’t think so

Anyone else have similar experiences?

I sold my car on ebay. Got well over the odds, came and collected next day with cash, total success story.

Personally I wouldn't sell a car that's worth too much on ebay as you'll never get what you want.

Well I want 3.5K with the sport seats and playstation/screens or £3.2 without. The seats alone cost me £700 6 months ago, my brother has offered to buy them off me if it means I get a quicker sale.

I've got someone local coming for a look tonight but they haven't asked how much I want for the car so I'm not sure if they're a tyre kicker or not.

Not saying your car isn't worth it mate, but I couldn't bare to part with more than £2k for a corsa

Yeah its still a 1.0. I was going to do an engine conversion last year but I didn't want to loose any more money on the car.

There are people out there willing to spend 2k on a Corsa. Someone on the boards recently sold a modifed 1.2 L reg for 2k and that that over 100k on the clock. Mine is a w with only 40k.

Its all about finding the right buyer really.

S'pose if the right buyer came he'd be willing to part with what you want, but you can't forget the book price for private sale is £2.4k

I say take your expensive bits, seats, ice, etc out and sell seperate and take what you can for the car.

I'm not going to let it go for stupid money on eBay though
