Is it a good idea to use products like cillet bang and mr muscle on alloy wheels to clean them? Is it safe?

get a power hose but not too close, likely take the finish off them!

powerhose at the farm takes anything off, used for cleaning lorries. not sure if petrol station ones would be as good

Fairy liquid works a treat on my wheels


BUT they are powdercoated so can pritty much take anything to them and be fine

after they've been throughly cleaned give them a coat of polish (autoglym super resin is good) then a coat of decent wax (meguiars gold class for example). You'll find the next time u clean them the dirt will easily rinse off.
I clean my alloys maybe 3-4 times a week, much easier to clean if you keep on top of them

Do they have baked on grease and limescale?? If so they will be no match for......CILLET BANG!!!

I just use car shampoo and a sponge to wash them. Sometimes give them a polish afterwards using Autoglym Metal Polish. Makes them really shine and as said alot easier to wash off the dirt in the future

i wouldnt use anything other than proper wheel cleaner ive heard about people using mr muscle and other shit on there wheels even heard of people using oven cleaner! it can wreck wheel finish easily

if its baked on try a few applications of wonder wheels using a soft brush, put some wax on after tho

I've used it before when I've run out of car shampoo, and it's never done the car any harm. Nor the wheels.

if its tar you want to remove soak ya wheels in wd40 then giv the a good scrub. i never use wheel cleaners as they are just a waste of money. hot soapy water n a sponge is ya best bet then a good polish
