Bull, Joe Cole is as gifted technically as any Brazilian.

Yup he is doing VERY well at the moment but he is no longer young. Hes 24. Young is less than 21. When you hear of people talking about amazing youngers i.e. Guy that played for RM last night = 19, Fagregas = 18 etc

Just hope the other english players get thier finger out cause at the moment hes the only player on form

i didnt say he is world class. we arent even talking of world class players. i just rate wayne routledge as a very good skillful player. so much so that is pace and skill reminds me that of a brazillian.

Sergio Ramos is over rated IMO. £19million ,or close to it I heard Martin Tyler say Madrid paid for, last night.

hes only 19 Jamie, he will be a good player, he has dross allr ound at the back though.

Arsenal didnt use any English players and have progressed furthest than the other clubs who have used english players - hmmmm wonder why

Think you hit the nail on the head - with english players would we have won?? Cole & Campbell playing well, yes but without turning it into the England team then i.e. looking outside of the first squad then No I don't think they would have.

It will be interesting to see how we do in the world cup - if we are so good then we should be in the semi/win or maybe we will be brought down to earth again.

of course I appreciate he is only young. but when you look at a couple of the errors he made, it makes me question his worth at £19mil. Though like you said, he will be a good player.

Having said that I look at a player like Fabregas, hardly ever gives the ball away, hardly makes a mistake and he is only 18! Different positions though I suppose.

Quarter finals mate, as usual, we dont have the right manager, formation or the players imo. I hope we win it but realisticly we are ranked 6th in the world for a reason, we are 6th best
