A girl at work got the back of her 1.4 Astra Merit P reg smashed into a few weeks back.
The insurance company wrote it off, but have said she can buy it back for £100, is it worth her while, what would the resale value be?
TO be honest, the damage is quite minimal and look-wise only looks like it needs a new rear bumper.
Any help appreciated.

nah, she doesn't really know any details unfortunately.
I mean, would she get anything on ebay?

if she got it back she could probably get a bumper from a scrappy or from ebay quite cheaply but all depends on the full extent of the damage.
If insurance wouldnt repair it its possible its more than just a new bumper

If the boot floors not creased then it could be worth putting back on the road, on Ebay might see the £100 back

If it was a Si or GSi then she might have got something for it due to it having sporty bits and pieces, nobody wants base models.

Surely even for £100 she could buy it back sell anything worth selling that isn't damaged like the bonnet and wings etc. on Ebay and get more than £100? Theres always someone after replacement parts

this is a woman from work, doubt she's gonna start splitting it.
This about it tho, one to buy from trader a few hundred, insurance company would look at new bumper for £100 and think fuck it.
I was only asking because if she could'a made a quick £100 on ebay I'd tell her to go for it, seems like i'll just tell her to leave it.
cheers for the help
