I can vouch for the rain in Brisbane - the day I got there, the most obscene amount of rain ive experienced before occured - it was so warm outside though I grabbed my shower Gel and stood outside the flat having a shower - was stunning!
This rain followed a sand storm, then an electric storm, then hailstones the size of tennis balls came down and broke 23 windscreens down our road and caused extensive damage to houses and other vehicles.

It really does hardly ever rain here -- it's too flat. I walk to work everyday and have probably only needed an umbrella about 4-5 times in the last year...
