Im trying to get the old one out, but is there anyway to stop water gushing out of the pipes, as thats whats happening!

Dont want to flood the place!

Anyone got any ideas - thye manual is no use

turn your water off at the mains and drain the washing machine (and empty the water catch thingy).

Can believe u tried to remove it with the water still on thats like trying to replace electrical wiring with the electric on

Like cosmo says, water off, drain washer, remove and install new one ... wallah!

There should be 2 small balifix valves if its been fitted correctly you can shut off, or if its the hoses coming from the machine just keep them above the top of the washer & let gravity do its thing

Turning off the mains wont stop there being water lying in the pipes - enough to cause a mini flood

No ally, you do what Kolin is saying. You turn the water off at the valves, that is what they are there for.

lol.. I got it in the end anyway. Made a guess that I had to turn the mains water off.

Ah well live and learn - not much water escaped anyway

no small washing machine balifix valves like in the picture above......sole purpose is so you can connect a washing machine while systems live.

Stopcock is turn off from the main - long way for a short cut

doesnt matter now anyway.. its all installed and looking the part (needless to say i wont be using it personally)

Wont be doing another in a hurry though!
