hopefully the corsa is going on saturday and i have been thinkin about gettin a 106 gti. wanted one for ages so i went and test drove one and apart from the poo pedal position i loved it. just wanna see what other people think of them and what should i look for in one

I had one, (check my garage) I loved mine, its very quick and reacts well to breathing mods, it will fall apart and break a lot but the engine is sound

ive got one atm, seems reliable neva had any major probs with it, although its only done 48k so dont expect it to.
Great fun car, dated interior(dash) tho imo

driveshafts were made from rice crispies I think they are almost guarnateed to go.

* I had a new clutch, 48 runs at crail killed it

* Arch fell off, most of the bodywork is held on with crappy clips, so I took it all off and bonded it on (tiger seal )

* It will idle irratically usually due to a build up of crap in the throttle body housing, clean all that out and its sorted. This is especially true if it has the ram-air induction kit.

Still a great wee car though

Just got a quote on diamond for me, its £1051.88 fully comp so not too bad
