i got bored 2day and i was looking at my gsi bumper and i was in 2 minds wether 2 do it or not because i didnt wana knacker it up lol, but in the end i thought sod it ill give it a whirl, now i know that there is alot of good bodyworkers on this site, so dnt take the piss, i used what was spare LOL, i know that you cant see that well ont the pics (camera fone) but im proud of the end result, and it just goes to prove that any monkey can do it, lol

lookin gd mate. when i did this to my old gsi i just used a spare piece of bumper mesh

Looking good mate

Looks like you didnt key up the paintwork on the bumper for the fibreglass/filler to stick to? jus hope it doesnt peel off.

I would have skimmed over a bit more filler than that (pink stuff) so I would have been able to use less of the easy sand on it. But other than that you've done well

are you going to sand it down anymore as you can still see the filler

needs a metal plate in there really as it will crack- if you can pick up the bumper by that joint then you did well

it will crack when you go to put the bumper back on.

mine did

then i got it done at a bodyshop and i accidentally kneeled on the bumper while fitting my throttle bodies. and it cracked again think i will get it plastic welded in the summer.

you havent sanded the paint off so will not of keyed to the bumper like boyracer said.

you need to sand it right back and take the paint off, one to key the surface and another to you can paint it and not have a outline, as you way you will get a outline where you have filled when you come to paint it.

so to get it look right your going to need to start again.
